A bit about me

My name is David Buchan and earlier this year I sold my shares in Frame Digital, an agency I co-founded in 2008 as a joint venture with Frame - a creative consultancy based in Glasgow for over 25 years. I held the position of Creative Director at Frame Digital, which offers strategy and planning, creative, technical and online marketing services.

Prior to this venture, I worked at bd-ntwk - an integrated creative agency that started out in Glasgow as a sales promotion agency. I was the first member of the digital department, growing it to a team of 12 digital experts. When I left to setup Frame Digital I held the position of Group Information Architect across the London and Glasgow offices.

I have over 15 years of commercial experience in leading and building teams of multi-disciplinary digital experts and my experience spans branding and brand strategy, planning and scoping, project management, marketing and communications and both the creative and technical sides of digital production.

I consider myself a strategist, creative and designer with a particular passion for UX, visual design and brands

I have had the pleasure of working with some fantastic clients, brands and talented people over the years on a huge variety and diverse range of projects and campaigns. Clients include The SSE Hydro, Linn Products and Coca-Cola and there are many more listed in the timeline below.

My work spans brand strategy and planning, branding and design, interactive installations, online games, campaign and brand websites, eCommerce and enterprise level websites, responsive websites, web applications and content management systems, social media content and campaigns, integrated marketing and advertising campaigns, motion graphics and film based projects.
